But the fruit of the spirit is

love,

joy,

peace,

longsuffering,

gentleness,

goodness,

faith,

meekness,

temperance:

against such there is no law.

This is how we know that we love the children of God:

by loving God and carrying out his commands.

This is love for God: to obey his commands.

And his commands are not burdensome,

for everyone born of God overcomes the world.

This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

Who is it that overcomes the world?

Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

As a child of God you can never give up.

Don't despise little beginnings.

1. Kings 18; 1, 41-46

Elijah was praying in a fetal position. He was bringing together spirit, soul and body.

The spirit is stronger than the soul and the soul is stronger than the body.

Elijah sent his servant seven times to see if there are clouds.

The servant answered 6 times: "There is nothing there!" And Elijah said: "Go back."

But at the seventh time the servant reported a litte cloud.

Elijah did not give up. He was praying until God send the rain.

All has to happen at the right time.

God is seeing the big picture.

Are we hungry for God?

"For I know the plans I have

for you," this is the Lord's declaration,

"plans for your welfare, not for disaster,

to give you a future and a hope."

(Jeremiah 29:11)

We love him,

because he first loved us.
